Rock up rock out (08/2009)

Rock up rock out was a cool little freestyle event which was held in Essex. The idea behind the event was simple- Invite some of the best riders in the UK, make some ramps and rails and all session them together, whilst listening to some cool music.

Dispite being injured, I still attended the event and had ago at riding myself. With my ankle strapped up it was hard to push my riding but I still had a good time. The highlight of the event was a 6 foot kicker/ quarter pipe ramp which we all used to do lip tricks, transition airs (airing up the ramp and landing back into it) and the odd big jump from the ramp. I managed to land a few good tricks, such as some handplants, 360 foot plants and loads of other lip tricks. Our riding was all about progression and trying something new so there was plenty of bails from everyone. All in all it was a fun event and we deffinitly need to push this side of the sport more.
